Radisson opens a new resort on the island of Skiathos in Greece

Radisson Hotel Group recently opened its latest upscale Greek resort on the island destination of Skiathos, the westernmost of the Sporades Islands resort.

Known for its natural beauty, coastline of over 60 beaches with clear blue waters, sea caves and hiking trails, Skiathos has gained international acclaim as the filming location for the musical “Mamma Mia!”.

Radisson Resort Plaza Skiathos is located on the south coast of Skiathos, overlooking the Aegean Sea and Kanapitsa Beach.

“We are delighted to offer our guests a fantastic resort experience on the beautiful island of Skiathos, as we continue to expand our Greek resort portfolio,” said Yilmaz YildirimlarArea Senior Vice President at Radisson Hotel Group.

Radisson has opened its resort in Skiathos in partnership with HotelBrain, a leading hotel management and consultancy group in Greece.

The resort’s 84 rooms and suites are decorated in a modern, minimalist style, and most of them offer views of the hotel pool or the sea. Private balconies or terraces are available in some rooms, and the resort’s largest suites feature private whirlpool tubs for ultimate privacy and relaxation.

The resort also has its own on-site Orthodox chapel, suitable for weddings, and an outdoor pool for hosting functions.

The main all-day dining restaurant celebrates Greek and Mediterranean flavors in its lunch and dinner menus. The pool bar offers breakfast treats and late-night snacks along with a wide selection of drinks and an extensive wine list. For guests wishing to maintain their fitness routine, a well-equipped gym is available.

Radisson Resort Plaza Skiathos is the Radisson Hotel Group’s latest island resort to open in the Greek Islands, following the opening of Radisson Blu Euphoria Resort, Mykonos earlier this year, and Radisson Blu Zaffron Resort, Santorini, which started to open welcome customers in 2021.
