Jersey Shore Island Named NJ’s Best Summer Destination for 2022

Summer in New Jersey is a must for not only the tri-states, but the east coast as well.

There are plenty of beaches to visit along the coast, but the Jersey Shore is a place where people vacation every summer and they come from all over the country.

Now if you were to ask someone from the west coast about the Jersey Shore, you’d probably hear all about the MTV show, which in a way is part of what makes Jersey Shore just that.

Now get out of Seaside Heights, Point Pleasant Beach and Wildwood and think of all the other coastal towns that aren’t as well known to the outside world, but that Jersey locals call home.

Travel Pulse just named each state’s best summer travel destination and before I even went through the list, I knew that a town on the Jersey Shore would be the #1 place for New Jersey.

Turns out I was right, but my guess about which city was wrong and I’m glad I was.

Long Beach Island has been named the best summer destination right here in the Garden State.

LBI is wonderful. It is very discreet but suitable for all members of your family.

It’s not as noisy as the popular rides, but there’s still that fun for the kids at Fantasy Island amusement park.

If the kids get bored of the beach, the Thundering Surf water park is next to Fantasy Island and there’s also the Adventure Golf mini-golf course.

If you like to shop, Bay Village has some great little shops and restaurants for you to enjoy.

LBI also has great surfing for those who like to take their board out in the water. And once you cross the bridge onto the island, you are greeted by Ron Jon Surf Shop.

Whether you surf or not, wearing that famous Ron Jon logo with the city you’re in is almost like an introduction to beach life.

If you like to see a show, the Surflight Theater offers live performances of shows like The Addams Family Musical, Legally Blonde The Musical, Murder on the Orient Express, and more.

And don’t get me started on the Show Place ice cream parlor.

If you’re looking for a treat and a show, this is the place you want to be, but be prepared, you might be picked to stand in front of the whole place and perform.

And now the famous CHEGG.

It’s called the chicken or the egg and it’s the must-visit restaurant on the island if you can fit in!

A recommendation from, well, everyone, get the wings.

Long Beach Island is full of amazing things to do for tourists and locals alike, I’m not surprised it tops the list for New Jersey.

My family used to spend many summers there growing up and I look forward to sharing the same experiences with my son and family.
