Inauguration of the last state real estate project on the island of Holbox

Holbox, QR — Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Margaritaville have opened their new hotel on the island of Holbox. Last week, Margaritaville St. Somewhere by Karisma, Punta Coco was made official in Holbox.

Hotel dignitaries were on hand for the inauguration of the 275 million peso ecotourism resort. The hotel covers an area of ​​5,700 m2 and offers 39 suites in six different styles.

The resort, which Karisma says is owned by a group of Cancun investors and operated by well-known hotel consortia, created more than 500 jobs during construction and 65 after it opened.

Daniel Lush, Vice President of Operations at Karisma, said, “We are thrilled to elevate the hotel experience in Holbox with an authentic product and safeguarding the ecology. Our priority is to be part of the community, integrating the products offered or manufactured on the island as unique experiences for customers.

“In addition to using materials from the region such as Yucatan hardwoods, Mexican products have been used throughout, as well as amenities such as certified cruelty-free natural oils.”

The company says that since opening in March, it has already seen 75% occupancy with visitors from the United States, Canada and Europe.
