Bank of Hawai’i Foundation Launches 125th Anniversary Celebration
HONOLULU – Bank of Hawai’i announced that it has donated $218,750 to 237 nonprofit organizations selected by its employees in Hawai’i and the Western Pacific region.
As part of the company’s 125th anniversary, every Bank of Hawaii employee was asked to select a nonprofit organization to which the Bank of Hawai’i Foundation would donate $125.
“Bank of Hawai’i employees care deeply about where we call home and enthusiastically support hundreds of nonprofit organizations to build a brighter future for all,” said Momi Akimseu, vice – Senior President, President and Community of the Bank of Hawai’i Foundation and Head of Employee Engagement at Bank of Hawai’i.
The 237 nonprofit Bank of Hawai’i employees selected span a wide range of organizations working to strengthen Hawai’i by supporting vulnerable members of our society; alleviate the financial difficulties of local families; advancing a just, diverse, equitable and inclusive community; protect and preserve the environment and help keiki and youth reach their full potential. Child & Family Services, Lanakila Meals on Wheels and K9 Kokua were among the top three nonprofits where employees directed their donations.
